ROLLER OPERATOR AND LABORER

First Coast Asphalt Solutions is a family owned and operated company. We are an ever expanding company and looking for the right individuals to join our family. Roller Operator position will be required to help in all aspects of our business including; striping, sealcoating, asphalt repairs, grading, signage installation, and other asphalt paving duties. • Safely operates roller to compress/compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop to achieve the specified grading and smooth surface.
• Keeps roller clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that roller is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication. Reports to shop when roller needs maintenance and repair.
• Determines speed and direction of roller based on knowledge of compressible material to achieve a smooth grade and/or surface.
• Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
• Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
• Help other team members lay out jobs.
• Clean, maintain, and keep track of hand tools.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures or the ability to learn.

CDL CLASS A EQUIPMENT TRANSPORT DRIVER

• Operate Heavy Haul truck and trailer in a safe and courteous manner.
• Ensure tractor and trailer are clean and in good working condition.
• Posses mechanical knowledge of assigned equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management/mechanics.
• Document and communicate repair requests to mechanics.
• Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
• Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.

• Experience in loading and securement of heavy construction machinery, such as excavators, skid steers, paving machines, and rollers.
• Valid Driver’s License: Class A CDL Florida Driver’s License

ASPHALT RAKER/ LUTE MAN

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 Years’ Experience (Required)
• Valid Driver’s License (Preferred)
• US Work Authorization (Required)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• PUNCTUAL– Must Arrive at Work at the Designated Start Time (Required)
• Willing to Work Days, Weekends, and Occasional Nights. (Required)
• Ability to Lift 50lbs (Required)
• Applicant Must be Self Disciplined, have a Desire to Learn and Be Trained, and Work Diligently under Time Constraints.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Lute/ Rake to Straighten Asphalt Joints and for Hand Work Areas where the Paving Machine I Unable to Reach.
• Repair Mat Imperfections.
• Rectify any Deficiencies on a Project.
• Must have Eye for Quality and Ability to Communicate with Laborers when Material is Needed.
• Must be Quick Paced to Ensure the Asphalt Mat Doesn’t Cool Prior to Compaction.
• Perform Daily Maintenance on Tools and Ensure all Tools are Stored Properly at the End of Each Shift.
• Help Manage Customer and Public Expectation. Provide the Highest Level of Customer Service.
• Must be Willing to be Flexible with to Perform other Activities within the Company: Asphalt Patching, Grade Work, Sealcoating, and Striping.

JOB DETAILS:

• $18 – $25 Per Hour.
• Full Time Position.
• Yearly Raises and Bonuses are Available.

SEALCOATER AND LINE STRIPER

Qualifications

• 2 Years’ Experience in Both Fields (Required)
• Driver’s License (Required)
• US work authorization (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Job Description

• Layout and install pavement markings on parking lots, warehouses, and roadways according to specifications and other various requirements.
• Calculate field measurements using engineered plans and/or google earth images.
• Track and record quantities of pavement markings on each project.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
• Operate various equipment to install pavement markings.
• Load and unload trucks daily.
• Drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job site.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Install signage, wheel stops, RPM’s, crack fill, and ADA Mats.
• Safely apply the seal coat material with the use of spray wands, brooms, and squeegee
• Cleaning and prepping sites prior to work to be performed.
• Oversee the execution of work, to ensure that laborers are scheduled and complete the job within contract/job confines.
• Ensure quality on all jobs
• Rectify any deficiencies at a job.
• Help to manage customer and public expectations and provide a high level of customer service
• Plan and hold weekly safety meetings with your crew
• MUST be flexible with scheduling. We strive to provide a work/life balance but in an effort to meet the needs of our clients, some weekends are required.
• Must be willing to be flexible to perform other activities when sealcoating and striping is not available – such as asphalt patching, paving, and grade work
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
